Our History

MacIsaac & Company, with offices in Victoria, Duncan, Nanaimo and Courtenay, is the foundation from which the MacIsaac Group of Law Firms emerged. Its predecessor firm in Nanaimo, Harrison, MacIsaac & Co., was established in 1949, and in 1990 the present day firm of MacIsaac & Company was formed.

The Victoria office was opened in 1979 and established a solid base in plaintiff personal injury work. The Duncan office was opened in 1991 to serve our many clients in the Duncan/Lake Cowichan area, and in 2009 the Courtenay office was opened to serve our clients in Courtenay and the Comox Valley.

In 1990 the MacIsaac Group of Law Firms was established. Under the MacIsaac Group umbrella are associated offices throughout Vancouver Island, the Okanagan, the Interior and North Eastern British Columbia, and the Lower Mainland. This association permits each lawyer to benefit from the Group’s expertise and decades of accumulated knowledge in virtually every area of law, particularly taking advantage of MacIsaac & Company’s long-standing and proven history of representing the injured public.

Personal injury continues to be the focus and specialty of the MacIsaac & Company lawyers and their support team.
