Brittany Scott

ASSOCIATE

Brittany Scott (she/her) was born and raised in Thebacha (Fort Smith), Northwest Territories. She obtained a bachelors degree in Law and Society from the University of Calgary. In 2019, Brittany joined the second cohort of students in the new joint degree program in Canadian Common Law and Indigenous Legal Orders (JD/JID) at the University of Victoria. Throughout the four-year program, Brittany engaged with a diverse range of Indigenous legal traditions and had the opportunity to work closely with the Shuswap Nation Tribal Council and the Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness. She also volunteered with the Victoria Sexual Assault Centre through Pro Bono Students Canada.

Brittany completed the JD/JID program in 2023 and began articling at MacIsaac & Company shortly after. Brittany was called to the British Columbia Bar in September 2024. Her practice focuses on human rights law, personal injury, employment law and general civil litigation. Brittany believes in the value of a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive approach to legal practice.

In her free time, Brittany can be found beading, gardening, playing a variety of instruments, and doting on her canine “co-counsel” Stella.
